🕒 Based in the Philippines, TASKLAMP VA aligns coverage to each client's local time zone — MST, PST, CST, or EST — active before your first showing and after your last email.

🔒 TASKLAMP VA supports only one team per market — protecting client privacy, honoring loyalty, and keeping full focus on the team we serve.

“TASKLAMP VA works inside one ecosystem, not ten — every client runs on Compass, so there’s no ramp-up time explaining how your CRM, listings, or Action Plans work. The team already knows them.”

Curious about who's behind TASKLAMP VA?
I've been doing this for a while. Here's the slightly longer story.

For Those Who Want to Know More

How I Got Here

If you've made it this far, thank you for taking the time to get to know me. This part is optional, but it's the real story behind TASKLAMP VA.

Where It Started · 2012–2014

I started my career as a legal support specialist in a BPO company. From there, I moved into lead generation for a car dealership, then cold calling for a lighting fixtures account.

Eventually, I landed on a Lead Generation Pioneer account offering virtual assistant services. That's where everything changed.

I closed my very first client and, at their request, stepped into an executive assistant role while continuing to support the lead generation team.

I spent two years there, from 2012 to 2014.

Looking back, I didn't realize it at the time, but those early experiences taught me something that stayed with me:

I learn best by doing the work, figuring things out, and finding better ways to get things done.

Going Independent

I moved to another company doing similar work, lead generation and virtual assistant services, and eventually realized something:

This job didn't need an office.

Not long after, my previous client reached out and hired me again, this time as an independent contractor.

I became a freelance virtual executive assistant, working for myself.

I grew alongside a team of 12 agents, and together we grew enough to move from a home office into a small boutique office.

That experience gave me more than just work experience. It gave me the opportunity to grow with the people I supported, take on more responsibility, and understand what it really means to become part of someone's business.

And that became a pattern throughout my career.

Different clients. Different businesses. Different challenges.

Each one left me with something I carried into the next chapter.

Compass, and the Shift to Real Estate · 2020–Present

Then 2020 happened.

Our team joined Compass Real Estate, and what started as administrative support gradually expanded into full Real Estate Operations.

Eventually, I added Real Estate Marketing to what I offered. We became active on social media, adapted to new tools, and kept up as the Compass platform continued to evolve.

Somewhere along the way, I realized I wasn't just completing tasks anymore.

I was building systems.

Customized timelines. Email templates. Drip campaigns and Action Plans. CRM organization. Lead follow-up. I explored Follow Up Boss and other lead generation tools, added GHL, and eventually started incorporating AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude AI into the workflow.

The tools changed. The goal stayed the same:

Make the work easier. Make the system make sense.

And I learned most of this by actually being in the work.

By managing real transactions. Working through real problems. Learning different systems. Adapting to different markets. And, most importantly, learning how different people work.

The Side Hustles

Along the way, I also managed social media part-time for a dance studio and did floor plan redraws as a side hustle on Fiverr.

Not everything I tried became a business. But almost everything taught me something.

Each experience added another skill, another perspective, or simply another reminder that there is usually more than one way to solve a problem.

Building the Team

Then life happened.

I gave birth to my third child, and that's when I realized I needed to start building a team.

I wanted a team that could support my clients even on the days I couldn't.

I felt ready, so I started.

Then I got overwhelmed. And I paused.

But I didn't stop growing.

I continued working with real estate clients across different markets, from Manhattan to Southern California to Illinois, while learning what it would really take to build a business that could grow beyond just me.

In 2024, I started building TASKLAMP VA and put together the foundation for my own small team.

It was a soft launch. The email existed. The domain existed. The portfolio existed.

The business was there, even if I wasn't quite ready to make a big announcement about it yet.

Then, like many things in life, it needed a little more time.

So I paused again.

When Things Started Clicking

Then something unexpected happened.

My LinkedIn didn't even have a single post, yet I started receiving connection requests from Compass agents.

Agents were finding me.

I wasn't actively trying to get noticed. But people were noticing.

Then, in 2025, I started working with another client.

After spending years working closely with a long-term client who had given me the opportunity to grow, learn, and take on more responsibilities over time, working with someone new gave me a different perspective.

I realized something I hadn't really considered before:

I could actually work with multiple clients.

It sounds simple now, but at the time, it changed how I looked at my career.

It wasn't about replacing one relationship with another.

It was about realizing that everything I had learned over the years could be valuable to more than one person.

And that realization made me look at my experience differently.

Years of working in real estate had taught me far more than any training course could. I learned by doing the work, solving problems, managing real transactions, working through different systems, and adapting to the needs of the people I supported.

Every client has been part of that learning process.

Some have been with me for many years. Others came into my career more recently. But the length of time isn't the only thing that matters.

Every person I've worked with has left an impact on how I work today.

Some taught me new systems. Some challenged me to think differently. Some trusted me with more responsibility. Some simply gave me the opportunity to learn by being part of their business.

I carry all of those experiences with me.

And that's a big part of what I want TASKLAMP VA to be.

Not just a service where tasks get handed off.

A support system built from years of real experience, shaped by the people I've had the opportunity to work with, and designed to make real estate professionals' lives a little easier.

In 2025, I made the direction of TASKLAMP VA clear:

TASKLAMP VA would support Compass agents with full-cycle real estate operations and marketing.

Where I Am Now · 2026

Today, I'm finally ready to build TASKLAMP VA the way I originally envisioned it.

With a small, reliable team behind the work.

With systems that allow us to support clients beyond what one person can do alone.

And with the same approach that brought me here in the first place:

Learn the business. Understand the person. Make the work easier.

If you've worked with me before, thank you for being part of the journey.

Whether we worked together for years or only for a chapter, you've contributed something to the person and professional I am today.

And if you're just getting to know me, welcome.

I'm glad you're here.

What's Next

Now I'm expanding TASKLAMP VA to offer Go-To Services for Compass agents.

A flexible, no-commitment way to collaborate when you need an extra set of hands or specialized support, while still treating privacy and data security with the same care I'd expect for my own business.

Think of it a little like Fiverr, but built specifically around real estate support and the way agents actually work.

Today

I'm still doing what I've always done best:

Learning. Growing. Adapting. Staying curious.

AI is changing the way we work faster than ever, and I don't think that's something to resist. I think it's something to understand and use thoughtfully.

But I also try to keep things grounded.

Keep the work easy.
Keep the systems simple.
Keep learning.

And if you read all of that, thank you for taking the time to get to know me.

I'd love to hear from you.

You don't need to book a consultation just to ask a question. Send me an email and I'll answer directly: edz@tasklampva.com.
